Ask Me Anything – The Sev 1 Database Newsletter
Opening this space for you to ask me questions
Hi everyone,
First, thank you for subscribing to The Sev 1 Database Newsletter.
I started writing about databases to share practical knowledge from real-world incidents the kind of problems database engineers and DBAs actually face in production.
Since launching, the response has been overwhelming. I’ve received thoughtful messages through DMs, direct emails, and many helpful suggestions from readers.
Because of that, I’d like to open a space for you.
If you have a database question, a production incident you’d like a second opinion on, a technical challenge you’re trying to understand, or even career-related questions, feel free to ask.
You can also reach out if you want to understand the difference between the Free and Premium versions, have questions about the guides I publish, want to share feedback, or even ask about available discounts.
Major Update
I just pushed a major update to the Sev-1 Mastery Playbook and wanted to make sure you knew about it because what was added is not small.
The playbook went from 36 pages to 55 pages.
Product launched
Everything I’ve been sharing on LinkedIn as PostgreSQL quick tips is now organized, expanded, and yours to keep. 50+ production tips across 8 chapters. Every tip: problem, why it happens, diagnostic query, and specific fix.
In my capacity, I’ll do my best to help and, when useful, turn interesting problems into learning material for the entire community.
My goal is simple:
Help engineers understand what their databases are actually doing under the hood and handle production issues with clarity and confidence.
If you have a question or topic you’d like covered, just reply to this email.
I read every message.
Best,
Haider
